What is included in janitorial services?
Rocket’s janitorial services include restroom cleaning and sanitizing, trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, break room cleaning, and upkeep of common areas and entryways. Those are the core of every recurring agreement. The exact task list, and how often each task is done, is set in a cleaning plan written for your facility after the walkthrough, because a manufacturing facility, a dance studio and an apartment clubhouse don’t need the same things. Rocket focuses on janitorial service and doesn’t offer specialty floor care such as strip and wax or carpet extraction.
How much do janitorial services cost per month?
Monthly janitorial costs depend on your facility, so Rocket prepares a proposal for each building after a free on-site walkthrough rather than working from a price list. The main factors are square footage, how often you need service, the type of building, the number of restrooms, floor types and the scope of work. Most buildings pay a flat rate, typically billed every four weeks. A large facility cleaned five nights a week costs more than a smaller space cleaned weekly, and the walkthrough gives us what we need to price the work accurately.
How often should a commercial building have janitorial service?
Most commercial buildings need janitorial service at least once a week, and high-traffic facilities usually need it several times a week or daily. The right schedule depends on how many people use the building and how hard they use it. Restrooms, break rooms and entryways get dirty first, so they usually set the frequency. Our focus is facilities that need weekly or more frequent cleaning, and we’ll recommend a schedule after we see how your building runs.
What’s the difference between janitorial and commercial cleaning?
The terms overlap, and many buyers use them interchangeably, but janitorial service usually means ongoing, recurring upkeep under an agreement. Commercial cleaning is the broader category: any cleaning of a business property, including the specific needs of different facility types. At Rocket, janitorial service is our recurring program for keeping a building in daily or weekly shape. Our facility-specific cleaning page explains how we handle different building types.
What’s the difference between janitorial and custodial services?
In practice, janitorial and custodial services describe the same routine cleaning and upkeep, and the difference is mostly in who uses which word. “Custodial” is more common in schools, government buildings and large institutions, where custodians are often in-house staff who may also handle light maintenance. “Janitorial” is more common in the private sector for contracted cleaning. Either way, the work is the same: restrooms, trash, floors, dusting and common areas, kept clean on a schedule.
How long are your janitorial agreements?
Rocket’s service agreements run one year or more. We work this way because consistent results come from learning a facility over time, and the service improves the longer we work together. We’ll walk you through the terms during your free walkthrough, and nothing is decided until you’ve seen your cleaning plan and proposal.
Can you take over from our current janitorial company?
Yes. We can start when your current agreement ends, and the free walkthrough is the place to begin, even while you’re still under contract with another company. Many of our clients come to us because their previous company’s quality declined, so we plan your start date around your current agreement’s end date and have your cleaning plan and proposal ready ahead of time. New clients also get their first deep clean free, which helps bring a building back up to standard before regular service begins.
How are your janitors vetted and trained?
Every Rocket cleaner is background checked, trained and goes through a rigorous one-month trial period before taking on a client’s facility. The trial period lets us see firsthand how each person works, how reliable they are and how much attention they pay to detail. Rocket is also a member of IJCSA and ISSA, both cleaning industry organizations.
What happens if something gets missed during a cleaning?
Tell your Rocket contact and we’ll make it right quickly. We use that feedback to adjust the cleaning plan so the same thing doesn’t happen again, and that’s how the service keeps getting better over the life of your agreement.
How do we report a problem or request extra work?
Every Rocket client has a named contact, so you always know who to call or email with a concern, special request or anything that needs extra attention. You can also reach us at 719-314-2400. We want to hear about small issues early, because they’re easiest to fix before they turn into bigger ones. Clear communication and accountability are a big part of how we work.
How do you handle building keys, alarm codes and security?
We set up access, alarm procedures and any restricted areas with you before the first cleaning, so your security plan is in place from day one. When an agreement ends, we return every key and delete your alarm codes. Every Rocket cleaner is background checked and vetted through a one-month trial period, and Rocket is 100% Insured, Licensed and Bonded.
